Turkey burgers

Pattie Ingredients

400g Turkey Breast Mince

1/2 Onion, finely chopped

2 Garlic Cloves, minced

30g Parsley

1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

2 Tbsp Tomato Puree
1 Small Zucchini, grated
1 Small Carrot, grated

1 Egg

1 tsp Olive Oil, for cooking

 

Burger Assembly

4 Wholemeal Burger Buns

 

Toppings

Lettuce, Tomato, Beetroot, Cheese

Health conscious sauce (e.g. hummus,/whole-egg low fat mayo,/wholegrain mustard)

 

Procedure:

  • Mix all of the pattie ingredients (except for the olive oil) together in a large mixing bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste as well as any spices of your choice.

  • Set aside pattie mix and prepare any burger toppings.

  • Heat a large pan (or use the BBQ) on medium heat and add grease with olive oil. Use your hands to make 4 evenly sized burger shaped patties from the pattie mix. Place on the pan and cook until the bottom has browned slightly, then flip and cook until cooked through.

  • Assemble burger patties on a lightly toasted wholemeal bun and add toppings of your choice.

TIPS

Serve with a side of roasted sweet potato or a baked spud!
